The Federal Programs Department encompasses Title I - Title I, Parent and Family Engagement, Homeless Educations, Part A & C Private Schools, Part C Migrant Education, Part D Neglected & Delinquent, Title I District Before/After School Tutoring, Title III (English Language Learners), English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) as well as Voluntary PreKindergarten (VPK). Title I is part of Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) that supports programs in schools to improve the learning of children from low-income families and is the largest federally funded education program designed to provide students with additional help in Reading, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies.
