Our World History students participated in an interactive activity along with our culinary department to prepare and taste food that was commonly served during the reign of Genghis Khan during the Mongolian times. This was all made possible thanks to a creative idea from one of our World History teachers, Mr. Mackall, and a generous grant from the Education Foundation of Lake County. This experience allowed our students to make connections on a deep level. Thank you to all who made this experience possible! Go Gators!

Congratulations to our Teachers and Support Staff of the Month! Ms. Kale, Ms. Hacker, Mr. Chambers, and Ms. Melendez (not pictured)
Thank you for all that you do!

Congratulations to our wonderful Rookie Teacher of the Year, Coach Castro, and our magnificent Support Staff of the Year, Ms. McClendon (not pictured)! We are so proud of you!

Gray Middle appreciates Ms. Syretta Brown, our School Social Worker that does so much to help us all! Thank you!

The Symphonic Band participated in the District 19 Music Performance Assessment (MPA) yesterday at Lake Minneola High School and earned straight Superiors from all 3 judges and a Superior in sight reading. The students earned all A’s in every sub caption for the first time in 10 years.
You are invited to enjoy our performance on our YouTube channel. I am including a link to our middle piece here:

Thank you to all of the families for coming out to Gator Expo on Thursday. Thank you, also, to our amazing teachers and school staff. You are all appreciated and we are so proud of our Gators!

Our 8th grade students had the opportunity to check out the CTE options offered at South Lake High School. CTE (Career Technical Education) courses range from health sciences and nursing, to JROTC, to Horticulture, to construction. Students will need to complete a CTE course in high school for graduation and we are so thankful that SLHS was able to come showcase their programs with some of our former Gators as their student ambassadors. Go Gators and Go Eagles!
