Today was a special day at Treadway Elementary as we welcomed our very own “Assistant Principal of the Day,” Elayna! 🐻💙💚
Elayna earned this experience by purchasing it with her Bear Bucks, and she made the most of every moment! She spent the day alongside Mrs. Scarcella, getting a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to help lead our school. She kicked off the morning by helping with announcements, then visited classrooms to watch all the great learning happening across campus. She even read aloud to classes, helped during lunch duty, and gave a school tour like a pro!

Students and staff were asked to “Purple Up!” today, April 15, 2026, by wearing purple as a visible way to show support and thank military children. Purple was chosen because it is the color that symbolizes all branches of the military. It is a combination of Army green, Coast Guard blue, Air Force blue, Marine Corps red, Space Force blue and Navy blue. Did you purple up? This year, we invite you to “Purple Up!” on April 15, 2026, by wearing purple as a visible way to show support and thank military children. Purple was chosen because it is the color that symbolizes all branches of the military. It is a combination of Army green, Coast Guard blue, Air Force blue, Marine Corps red, Space Force blue and Navy blue. Students and staff in schools across Florida are encouraged to participate in this celebration of the courage of military families and to honor their hard work.

From dressing in yellow to match the Instructional Framework, safety gear, wigs, florals, and cardigans, our staff (and students!) showed up in the best way to say THANK YOU 💐

If your child will be attending Oak Park Middle School for the 2026–2027 school year, mark your calendars.
Rising 6th Grade Parent Night will be held on March 24 at 5:30 PM.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about what middle school will look like for your child. Families will have the chance to meet teachers, learn about electives and athletics, and get helpful information about scheduling for the upcoming school year.
We encourage all families of future Oak Park students to attend and start preparing for an exciting transition to middle school.
