We are honored to continue our partnership with Powerhouse Youth Project and Noble Sheep as we work together to empower the next generation of Yellow Jackets!
Preparing students for success means preparing them for life beyond graduation. Through mentorship, career exploration, real-world experiences, and purposeful connections, we’re helping students discover their potential, identify their purpose, and take confident steps toward their future.
We’re grateful for organizations like Powerhouse and Noble Sheep who believe in our students and are willing to invest in their passion, purpose, and future. Together, we’re not just preparing students to graduate — we’re preparing them to thrive.

LHS Historical Fun Fact: 👀
LHS originally housed junior and senior high school students. Although, the building was constructed in 1927, the students did not start attending classes until the fall of 1928. Rumor has it that funds ran out and there was not enough money to purchase furniture. Items were borrowed from St. James Church to fill classrooms. Students would load furniture (often with horse and buggy) on Mondays and return them back on Fridays for the church.
