Our Boys Weightlifting team once again represented very well at the FHSAA Boys Weightlifting State Championships yesterday. They wore our Jacket with pride. All of their actions and behaviors demonstrated a toughness and resolve that would have made our school and community very proud. This team was a journey of mental strength development that I will speak on in the presentations I give at coaching clinics. Individual results that added up the points we needed for another big trophy:
- 199 class – Ryan Thompson – State Champion in Olympic (Snatch + Clean & Jerk) with a 615lbs Total. He was also State Runner-up in Traditional (Clean & Jerk + Pause Bench) with a 645 lbs Total
- 154 class – Gage Anderson – 3rd place Olympic medal with a 510 lbs Total.
- 169 class – Colton Durham – 3rd place Olympic medal with a 495 lbs Total.
- 199 class – Thijs Williams – 6th place Olympic medal with a 505 lbs Total.
- 169 class – Jeremiah Nealy – 9th place Olympic with a 465 lbs Total.
